Born and raised in Marion, IL, David Stotlar has been performing from an early age. First playing in front of his church congregation, Stotlar continued performing with many ensembles in the Marion school District while continuing to play and perform throughout college.
While studying Accounting, Stotlar played with the Studio Jazz ensemble, a premiere music group at Southeast Missouri State University and also played briefly in a faculty/student jazz combo that performed at various University events and ceremonies. Many weekend nights David could be found at Buckner's Brewing Company, a local microbrewery in Cape Girardeau performing & performing jazz. Some may have heard him playing at the Marion Cultural and Civic Center, weddings or many church services, as he is also a church pianist for a church in Cape Girardeau, MO. Along with his participation in ensembles, David enjoys working with and tutoring aspiring musicians.
When you listen to David play, you will hear a wide range of musical selections from gospel favorites to many standards of the 30's and 40's, along with some current favorites.
