  Kent Zimmer - Pianist

Born and raised in West Frankfort, IL, this Southern Illinois piano man has been playing since the age of ten.  He played his first solo in front of a packed church house at the age of twelve.  As a teenager, Kent performed in several Beethoven Society recitals at Southern Illinois University, and at the Mitchell Art Museum in Mt. Vernon.  You may have heard him play at one of your friend’s weddings as well.

If you happen to sit down one evening to hear Kent play, you can expect to hear traditional favorites from Scott Joplin to George Gershwin.  You’ll also hear romantic pieces from Jim Brickman and a few songs of inspiration.  And since Kent serves as one half of the Nut N’ Honey Morning Show on local country radio station Z-100, you’re bound to hear something from county music’s early days as well.

Local morning show host, music man, worship leader, proud father, and proud to be from Southern Illinois, Kent Zimmer loves to entertain.  Whether its from the piano bench, behind the microphone, or in front of a crowd, Kent will do his best to make sure you and your friends have an enjoyable time.
